The Town of Wake Forest will offer free Wake Forest Historic District Walking Tours during the fall of 2017. These tours will include areas along North Main Street, North Avenue, Front Street, and South Avenue. Along the way, each group will discuss the developmental and architectural history of the area, along with the significant men and women who lived in the homes. Please note: Tours will not include individual homes. Tours will start promptly at the designated time and be led by architectural historian and Town Historic Preservation Planner Michelle Michael. Each tour will begin at the corner of North Main Street and Walnut Street and end at the Wake Forest Historical Museum. Following each tour, participants may visit the museum and the Dr. Calvin Jones House.

March’s Theme: Celebrate the State!- Did you know that on Mar. 24, 1663, the birth certificate of the Carolinas was signed? Celebrate artists with connections to North Carolina.
