Paul Moravec’s 2004 Pulitzer Prize-winning score, Tempest Fantasy, inspired and set the stage for Artistic Director Robert Weiss to create a “dance meditation” of Shakespeare’s dramatic play, The Tempest. With theatrical sets and costumes, this ethereal ballet features the well-known characters Prospero, Miranda, Caliban and Ariel. This program will feature Choreographer in Residence Zalman Raffael’s third premiere of Carolina Ballet’s 2015–2016 Season.
