The N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Program and Ford Driving Skills for Life are hosting a free advanced driver training course for newly licensed drivers/teenagers. Ford Motor Company has teamed up with the N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Administration to develop the "Driving Skills for Life" program to teach teens good driving habits and skills that will help keep them safe behind the wheel.
This program will give teens specific training and assistance to help prevent the leading causes of distracted driving. Program participants will learn how to improve their skills in hazard recognition, vehicle handling, speed and space management, braking and stopping distances, reaction time and how to avoid the dangers of distracted and impaired driving.
This course is intended for teens to learn these skills in a safe environment with world class instructors sitting next to them. A flyer is attached with more information about our event.
We will offer four training sessions, each 4.5 hours long, and each student will sign up for one session. Register at the website!
