An exodus of Jews from Europe in the 1920s brought Yiddish-speaking people to Cuba. Stopping in Cuba was initially thought of as a layover on their way to the United States, but the island became home to many. With the rise of Castros communist regime, another mass exodus occurred as Jews fled Cuba. This book illuminates the story of Jewish-Cuban community that remains on the island today.
