"Walk, Give, Change the World." The Wake Forest CROP Hunger Walk 2016 begins and ends at the Wake Forest Historical Museum with sign-in at 2pm and step-off at 2:30pm. The route is approximately 1.5 miles on sidewalks that include a view of beautiful historic homes in Wake Forest and also part of the seminary’s campus. Volunteers will provide water. Area churches and organizations, clubs, businesses, and individuals are encouraged to start a team or to join an existing team at  https://www.crophungerwalk.org/wakeforestnc/. Then make an online donation to help support the cause to "End hunger one step at a time." Recruit friends and family members as sponsors for online tax-deductible donations in support of the team or individual walker. Donations also may be given in cash or by checks written to CROP Hunger Walk. Also on September 25, bring non-perishable food to the 2pm sign-in. Add that food to the total collection for the Tri-Area Ministry food pantry.  Take "Helpie" photos of yourself and others in front of the pyramid of boxes and cans of food that will grow taller as individuals and teams drop off their contributions. Wake Forest and some 2,000 cities and towns nationwide join together in interfaith-community CROP Hunger Walks, following the theme "Ending hunger one step at a time."  Twenty-five percent of the funds raised here will go to Tri-Area Ministry food pantry.  Other funds will provide programs in the U.S. and around the world to end hunger and poverty and to provide disaster relief.
