April 9, 2016
Venue: John Chavis Memorial Park and Community Center Area: Downtown Raleigh
Each day, everyday freedoms like walking, hugging and even breathing are taken away from kids and adults in our community with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases. The Muscular Dystrophy Association works to help these families by funding groundbreaking research across diseases and empowering them with services and support. These efforts are made possible by fundraising events like the 2016 MDA Muscle Walk of Raleigh.
MDA Muscle Walk is a meaningful way for families, friends, neighbors and local businesses in the Triangle to come together and show support for area MDA families. This year’s walk includes a 3K-5K route designed for participants of all ages and abilities, including a wheelchair and equipment-friendly course.
This annual event is scheduled for 10am on Apr. 9 at Chavis Community Park. It is meant to raise critical awareness and funds for muscle-debilitating diseases that severely weaken muscle strength and mobility.
