Fire 'n Ice Pickle Dip
The sound of football has returned to my house. Doesn't matter that it's only preseason to my husband because by now, he is totally jonesing for a game of any kind. Course, the Saints opener could certainly have been better… but it is what it is, and they won.
And yes, I know… a lot of folks are pretty upset about The Anthem protesting, kneeling players, including The Cajun (and me), and have essentially boycotted all NFL games. I do not want to get into that conversation here on a food blog, except to say this. As much as my husband loves his country and he respects the National Anthem and the flag – we fly one at this house every, single day – and, as a man who has served this country in the military, as mad as he may be, he's not going to stop watching his football. Well, at the very least his Saints, because he has certainly turned off a few games where kneeling players were prominently featured by the media. And we've watched quite a bit more SEC games the last couple of football seasons. But, enough about that!
